The ChamSys Power Over Ethernet Network Switch has eight individually isolated Network ports. Seven of the eight ports can supply Power Over Ethernet – the other port is normally used as the network input. The Switch is fully IEEE 802.3af-2003 Power Over Ethernet compliant.
All eight ports are available on the front of the Switch with professional locking Neutrik Ethercon connectors. In addition the eighth port is switchable to the rear for cabling within a rack system. Each port has LEDs to indicate the network status and also the PoE status.
The Switch operates at 100Mbits – the ideal speed for lighting protocols. 100Mbit Ethernet enables large numbers of ArtNet or ACN universes to be carried without the distance and switching restrictions needed for Gigabit Ethernet.
